Johnson Pump F4B-9 Flange Mount OEM Impeller Pump

The Johnson Pump F4B-9 Flange Mount OEM Impeller Pump is a flexible-impeller pump designed for OEM flange-mount applications such as engine raw-water cooling and other compatible marine fluid-transfer duties. Flexible vanes create suction as they recover after passing the cam, allowing the pump to self-prime instead of requiring a permanently flooded inlet.

Self-priming capability gives installers more freedom to position the pump above the waterline within the manufacturer's suction limits. The flexible impeller can also pass modest suspended material that would be troublesome for some close-clearance pump designs, so this is style well suited to raw-water service when maintained correctly.

Confirm flange compatibility, drive speed and direction, hose size, suction lift, fluid compatibility, and required cooling flow before installation. Never operate a flexible impeller dry longer than permitted, inspect the impeller at the manufacturer's service interval, and replace worn vanes before fragments can enter downstream cooling passages.
