i2Systems Apeiron A3120 Chrome Screw Mount, Cool White

The i2Systems Apeiron A3120 is a screw-mount three-color light in chrome, running red, cool white and blue from two wires.

Screw mount rather than spring mount is the distinction, and it decides where the fixture can go. A spring mount needs a hole with clear space behind it for the clips to grip. A screw mount fastens to a surface, so it works on a solid panel, a bulkhead or anywhere with no void behind.

i2Wave technology gives three colors from two wires, switching with a simple toggle of the power. A conventional multi-color fixture needs three or four conductors, which on a retrofit means pulling new cable to every position.
