Black anodized aluminum sideplates are edged with robust bumpers to protect the block, topsides, and deck from impact, and an anti-capsize bar keeps the sheave aligned on the sheet under load. The ULC main bearing lets the sheave turn smoothly even under extreme loading, while sideload balls carry loads effectively even when the block isn't perfectly aligned in light air, and a thimble at the pivot base supports 1:1 or 2:1 up-down control setups.
