GROCO Perforated Hull Strainer for 2-Inch Thru-Hull

The GROCO Perforated Hull Strainer for 2-Inch Thru-Hull mounts over a compatible thru-hull intake to help keep larger debris away from the opening before it enters the boat's raw-water plumbing. Its bronze construction is intended for durable marine service below the waterline when installed with compatible hull hardware.

The cast slot or hole pattern allows water to reach the thru-hull while screening out larger material that could obstruct the intake. Access-door or mounting-ring features on supported models simplify inspection of the thru-hull without requiring complete removal of the exterior strainer.

Confirm thru-hull size, hull contour, intake flow requirements, fastener compatibility, bonding practices, and installation location before mounting. Bed the strainer with an appropriate marine sealant, avoid restricting the intake opening, and inspect the slots or holes regularly for marine growth and debris.
