GROCO 3/4-Inch Poly Basket Fresh Water Strainer

The GROCO WSB-750-P is a 3/4 in NPT strainer that catches debris before it reaches your pump. It stands 5 in tall and 2.9 in wide, so it fits in tight spaces near the pump. GROCO specifies the -P version, with its plastic basket, for salt-water systems and continuous-duty AC or generator cooling lines.

A white nylon head holds a clear bowl, so you can see when the basket is collecting debris without opening anything. When it needs cleaning, the bowl unscrews by hand and the plastic basket lifts out. The included bracket bolts to a bulkhead, so the strainer is not hanging from the hose.

Mount it on the suction side of the pump, with enough room below to remove the bowl. Support the hoses on both sides so vibration is not carried into the nylon head. For a fresh-water system, GROCO also makes a 3/4 in model with a stainless basket, and our thru-hulls and drains section has other intake fittings.
