Fenix HM23 V2 Black 300-Lumen AA LED Headlamp

The Fenix The HM23 V2 is a compact black headlamp that reaches 300 lumens and can use either a standard AA battery or a compatible 1.5V 14500 rechargeable cell. White and red LEDs provide five modes, and the lamp body can be removed from the headband for handheld use. Its output and compact battery system make it suited to camp chores, work tasks, walking, and emergency use where a handheld light would occupy one hand.

A magnetic tail and pocket clip add hands-free options when the headband is not ideal for the task. Electronic lockout helps prevent accidental activation in a pack, while the aluminum body is built for demanding outdoor use with strong water and impact protection. The adjustable headband and tilting light body make it easier to aim the beam at a work area, trail, or nearby equipment.

Battery type is worth considering along with maximum output because it determines how easily replacements can be found during travel or field use. For emergency kits, a headlamp adds useful redundancy because it can illuminate a task while both hands remain available. The Fenix HM23 V2 Black 300-Lumen AA LED Headlamp is a practical choice for users who want compact hands-free lighting without moving to a larger rechargeable headlamp system.
