The Davis Mark 25 is the top of the line Davis plastic sextant, featuring the Beam Converger mirror, sometimes called a "full horizon mirror," for a clearer, brighter sighting experience than a standard half-silvered mirror provides.

A special coating applied to high-quality optical glass lets the user see through the mirror while still picking up images as faint as low-light stars, a real advantage during difficult sighting conditions like dawn or dusk twilight sights.
