Davis Air-Dryr 500 Marine Air Dryer

The Davis Air-Dryr 500 is a compact 110/120V moisture-control unit for enclosed spaces up to 500 cubic feet. It draws only 0.6 amps and 70 watts, measures 14 x 5 x 4.5 in (36 x 13 x 11 cm), and is designed for continuous 24-hour operation in damp areas where mold, mildew, condensation, cold drafts, and corrosion can become a problem. The EU version is rated for spaces up to 14 cubic meters.

Instead of using a fan or compressor, the Air-Dryr relies on natural convection. Damp air enters near the floor, is gently warmed above the dew point so moisture remains suspended, then exits through the top vents as warmer air rises and cooler damp air is drawn in. There is no switch, fan, or thermostat to maintain, operation is silent, and a thermal cutoff shuts the unit down if airflow becomes blocked. The polycarbonate housing is slim, stable, safe to the touch, spark-free, UL listed, and suitable for marine use.
