CoastKey Basic (Twin Engine Keyless Ignition, Start/Stop with PIN) has a Start Panel providing keyless access to the boat. It is designed for boaters who want to enter a PIN code instead of using an ignition key, in addition to the control box and cables mounted at the steering position.

The obvious advantage is keyless access to the boat — if several people are using it, everyone has the same access without needing their own keys. It's easy to change the PIN code to restrict access, for example after renting out the boat, and CoastKey installs instead of, or in parallel with, the existing ignition key and lanyard cord.
