Description

The Case Large Leather Sheath is a brown belt sheath for folding knives up to 4 inches closed.

A belt sheath for a folder solves a problem a pocket clip does not. A large traditional folder has no clip, and 4 inches closed is a lot of knife to carry loose in a pocket alongside keys. It also keeps the knife accessible with a coat on, where a trouser pocket is not.

Leather is the traditional match for a traditional folder, and it darkens the same way the bolsters do over years of use. Sized to a 4 inch closed length, it suits the large folding hunters and trappers that Case and others build rather than a modern EDC folder. Explore more carry, storage and protection.

  • Brown leather, for folders up to 4 inches closed
  • For large traditionals with no pocket clip
  • Keeps the knife reachable with a coat on
  • Darkens alongside the knife it holds

Custom-Molded to My Folder, Looks Great

It can be challenging to find a decent leather sheath that doesn't cost more than the knife for which it's intended. That's particularly true when the knife wasn't intended to be carried in a sheath, such as the Kershaw Link folder. But the Link's a little bulky for pocket carry, so I've been looking for a nice sheath for belt carry. This Case seems to have fit the bill. Out of the bag it's quite stiff, but it responds well to some wet molding and conformed to the Link's shape quickly. Then it was a matter of a little brown polish and some mink oil to provide water resistance and a nice sheen. I also put a rivet above the stitching on the belt loop, partially to reinforce the stitching but mostly to make it snug on a 1. 5" belt. It's still new, but so far it looks good, has great retention, and feels solid. No complaints. Great service from CritPro.
