The Burris Xtreme Tactical Remington 700 Short Action Base is machined from a single piece of solid steel to provide a rigid optic-mounting platform for Remington 700 Short Action rifles. The continuous base gives the shooter more freedom to position scope rings along the receiver than a fixed two-ring arrangement, which is useful when eye relief or scope length varies.
