Blue Performance Forestay Suspension Sailboat Hammock

The Blue Performance hammock creates a suspended resting spot on a sailboat using the forestay or a suitable halyard arrangement. Its mesh center panel allows air to circulate while you relax, rather than surrounding you with a solid sheet of fabric. Reinforced hems and webbing panels add structure to the hammock. The soft shackle and forestay saddle give you two practical points for suspending the hammock.

At one end, the supplied soft shackle can connect to a spinnaker pole ring on the mast or an appropriate halyard. The opposite end uses a saddle that folds around the forestay. Alternatively, the hammock can be hung from a genoa halyard secured to the toe rail with a short rope. The rigging must be suitable for supporting a person, so follow the supplied suspension instructions and inspect each attachment before use.

The mesh panel keeps air moving beneath you on warm days. At 87.7 x 47.2 inches, the hammock needs room to hang clear of the deck and nearby hardware. Because it suspends from existing rigging, there is no separate frame to set up. For related sailing accessories, visit our Sailing Hardware category.
