BeaverCraft Leather Strop with Compound for Hook Knives

The Beavercraft Leather Strop with Compound is a double sided stropping board designed specifically for hook knives, gouges, and other curved woodcarving tools that a flat strop cannot reach effectively. At 12.25 inches overall the stropping surface gives you enough length for full, consistent strokes, and the double sided construction puts a leather stropping surface on one side and sandpaper on the other, giving you a two stage sharpening and polishing workflow in a single tool. The ash wood handle keeps it comfortable and stable during use.

The included green stropping compound loads onto the leather side to refine and polish the edge after initial work on the sandpaper side, and the included sandpaper sheet handles the more aggressive stock removal needed to reset a dull or damaged edge. At 1 lb it has enough weight to stay stable on a bench without needing to be clamped.
