Description

The Attwood low-profile portable fuel tank provides extended fuel capacity while using less vertical space than a conventional tank of similar volume. That lower shape is especially useful under pontoon seating and in other compartments where height is more limited than floor area. An integrated high-contrast gauge lets the operator check the remaining fuel without opening the tank or guessing from weight. The tank uses multi-layer construction designed for the pressure generated by modern closed marine fuel systems.

An automatic high-flow vacuum valve in the cap admits replacement air as the engine uses fuel, so there is no manual vent screw to open and close. Additional vapor and expansion space is built into the tank for compliant closed-system operation. UV-resistant materials support repeated exposure to the marine environment and seasonal storage. The tank meets applicable EPA, CARB, ABYC, and NMMA requirements for portable marine fuel systems. The tank measures approximately 24 in long by 18 in wide by 11.61 in high, and its profile is about 3 in lower than Attwood’s conventional tank of the same nominal capacity. It accepts 1/4 in NPT fuel fittings and is supplied without a fuel line. The tank meets the supplier’s cited EPA, CARB, ABYC, and NMMA requirements for portable marine fuel systems.

  • Low-profile shape conserves vertical storage space
  • Integrated high-contrast fuel gauge
  • Automatic vacuum valve eliminates manual cap venting
  • Multi-layer construction handles closed-system pressure
  • Fuel line is not included

Secure the tank so it cannot move as the boat accelerates or turns, and route the fuel hose without sharp bends or pinch points. Use compatible engine fittings and inspect the cap, gauge, and fuel connection regularly for signs of leakage or damage.
