Attwood Black 90° Flush-Mount P-Trap Fuel Tank Vent

The Attwood P-trap fuel tank vent is designed to let a marine fuel tank breathe while helping keep wash water and spray from reaching the tank through the vent line. Its internal trap geometry performs the water-control function without requiring a separate anti-siphon loop in the hose. The flush-mount body keeps the exterior profile low and finishes the installation with a stainless vent head. This makes it useful on hull sides where a conventional projecting vent would be more exposed to impact or spray.

The vent connects directly to a standard marine fuel-vent hose and is intended for ethanol-blended fuel systems. Its installation opening and allowable hull thickness are defined so the body can be secured without crushing or overextending the mounting hardware. The design meets applicable ABYC requirements for the intended fuel-venting application. Because the water separation is built into the vent, the hose run can often be simpler than installations that depend on a high external loop. Route the vent hose continuously so fuel cannot collect in a low spot and block normal tank breathing.
