ARCO 302/351 Ford Counter Clockwise Inboard Starter

The ARCO High-Performance Inboard Starter with Gear Reduction & Permanent Magnet fits 302 and 351 Ford marine engines, built with counter clockwise rotation and including a wiring harness to replace the conventional starter.

ARCO advises using a fully charged battery during install, since a weak battery can damage the starter and its solenoid, and cleaning all connections beforehand, since a corroded connection adds resistance that raises the amperage the starting circuit needs to work efficiently.

Every starter is dynamically tested and packaged for out-of-the-box performance, nickel-coated and/or epoxy-painted to resist corrosion, and sealed to minimize water intrusion. The armature is tested to withstand 50 times the operating voltage on a 12-volt system, built for long life under repeated starts. It cross-references directly to Pleasurecraft R200000 and RA122002, and Sierra 18-5904 and 18-5915, and also replaces ARCO's own 70100 and 70110. Browse more marine starters.
