ARCO Inboard Starter, 12-3/4-Inch Flywheel, Gear Reduction

The ARCO Inboard Starter (Mercruiser, Volvo Penta, OMC, Yamaha, and other engines with a 12-3/4" flywheel, Clockwise Rotation) is dynamically tested and packaged for out-of-the-box performance. This starter replaces all CW rotating 10MT starters with one long and one short bolt straight across the pattern, including mounting bolts and gasket, with anodized casting and a nickel-plated brush holder. It is designed for boaters who want nickel-coated and/or epoxy-painted construction to reduce corrosion, sealed to minimize water intrusion.

ARCO advises using a fully charged battery, since a weak battery can damage the starter and starter solenoid, and cleaning all connections regularly, as a corroded connection creates resistance and lowers the amperage required for an efficient starting circuit.
