Description

The Ancor Yellow 1/0 AWG Tinned Battery Cable is a 50-foot length with Type 3 ultra-flexible construction, rated 600V.

Yellow is the ABYC-preferred DC negative, and choosing it at the start of an installation is easier than converting later. A boat wired half in black and half in yellow negatives is harder to work on than one done consistently either way, and the person confused by it is usually the owner five years on.

One aught covers inverter feeds, windlass circuits and bank interconnects, where a negative return is as heavy as the positive. Fifty feet suits a single measured run rather than a stock quantity.

Tinned copper stranding resists corrosion and electrolysis in wet, salty conditions. Type 3 ultra-flexible construction routes through compartments and around bends while tolerating vibration, with insulation rated 600V, 105°C dry and 75°C wet. Explore more battery cable.

  • Yellow is the ABYC-preferred DC negative
  • Choose the convention before starting, not after
  • Half-and-half wiring confuses the owner years later
  • 1/0 negatives are as heavy as the positives
