The Ancor Green 8 AWG Battery Cable is a 100-foot spool for bonding and grounding, with Type 3 ultra-flexible construction.

Green at 8 gauge suits bonding branches running from the main bonding conductor out to individual underwater fittings. The main run is usually 6 gauge; the branches to thru-hulls, struts and shafts step down from it. Sizing every branch to match the main run wastes copper without adding protection.

Bonding is a corrosion control system rather than an electrical circuit, tying underwater metals to a common potential and to the anodes. It passes no current in normal operation, and treating it as a DC negative return is what creates the stray current problem it exists to prevent.
