Description

Airmar's broadband CHIRP transducers unlock detail traditional 50/200kHz fishfinders can't resolve, sweeping across a frequency band rather than transmitting a single-tone pulse, which lets the display separate closely spaced fish and structure that would otherwise blur into one mass.

A traditional tone-burst pulse trades range for resolution: a longer pulse reaches deeper but can't distinguish targets closer together than the pulse length itself, so fish schools appear as a single blob and fish near the bottom disappear into the seafloor return. CHIRP compares the shape of a long, swept transmission against the returning echo to place targets within inches, even close to the bottom.

Built with the same elements and performance as the B765LH/LM in a low-profile housing, this 8-pin model wires directly to Garmin displays, with a 12M (40-foot) cable, bronze housing, and a built-in depth and fast-response water-temperature sensor. Rated for boats up to 8M (25 feet) with a fiberglass or wood hull. Explore more marine transducers.
