1791 Gunleather Black Right-Hand 1911 Belt Holster

The 1791 Gunleather Black Right-Hand 1911 Belt Holster (BH1-BLK-R) is an open-top leather belt holster shaped for full-size and Commander-length 1911 pistols. The BH1 is 1791's dedicated 1911 belt holster, so the pocket follows the long slide, the beavertail, and the thumb safety instead of a generic outline. This version is finished in plain black, a slightly different shade from the Stealth Black option.

It is made from American steerhide that is wet-molded around the pistol, then stitched with reinforced seams. There is no strap to unsnap, so the leather's molded fit is what holds the 1911 in place. Belt slots on each side pull the holster tight to your hip and keep the ride position from shifting.

New leather can feel tight at first, and it eases into a smooth draw after a few days of use. Ride it just behind the right hip on a sturdy 1.5-inch gun belt, which supports the weight of a steel 1911. 1791 Gunleather is based in Birmingham, Alabama, and named for the year the Bill of Rights was ratified.
