Magpul Hunter FDE Ruger American Short Action Stock

For Ruger American short-action rifles, the Magpul Hunter American Stock in Flat Dark Earth replaces the factory stock with a reinforced polymer shell and an anodized aluminum bedding block. Steel recoil lugs lock the action in place. It installs as a true drop-in.

The factory Ruger American stock uses a rotary magazine, and this stock replaces it with a detachable box magazine setup. The included Bolt Action Magazine Well takes AICS-pattern magazines, including Magpul's PMAG AC line. Spacers set length of pull anywhere from about 13 to 15 inches. It handles barrel profiles up to Medium Palma.

A 0.25-inch cheek riser comes with the stock, and taller risers are available for higher scopes. For cartridges such as 6.5 Creedmoor, Magpul recommends the 5-round PMAG 5 7.62 AC for the most reliable feeding. FDE pairs well with tan scopes and hunting gear. Install the action, tighten the screws evenly, and confirm that the barrel does not touch the forend channel. Browse Ruger American magazines and accessories in our gun parts and accessories.
