Magpul Hunter ODG Ruger American Short Action Stock

The Magpul Hunter American Stock in OD Green fits Ruger American short-action centerfire rifles. It turns a budget hunting rifle into one with an adjustable stock, a solid bedding block, and detachable magazines. The green color suits woodland hunting. No bedding is required, since the action seats on the aluminum block.

The bedding block is hard-anodized cast aluminum, backed by steel recoil lugs. M-LOK slots on the forend take a bipod or sling mount. The barrel channel clears profiles up to Medium Palma if you rebarrel later. Steel recoil lugs keep the action from shifting under recoil. With a detachable magazine, unloading at the end of the day is quicker than working rounds through the action one at a time.

Magpul's Bolt Action Magazine Well comes with it, so the rifle accepts AICS-pattern magazines. Length of pull adjusts from about 13 to 15 inches, and optional risers adjust comb height. Use 5-round PMAG 5 7.62 AC magazines for cartridges not based on the .308 case. The included cheek riser is 0.25 inch, and taller risers are sold separately.
