Magpul Hunter Black Ruger American Short Action Stock

The Magpul Hunter American Stock in black is a drop-in stock for Ruger American short-action centerfire rifles. It combines reinforced polymer with a hard-anodized cast aluminum bedding block and high-strength steel recoil lugs. No bedding is required. The cast aluminum bedding block gives the action a solid seat, replacing the factory polymer setup.

Magpul's Bolt Action Magazine Well is included, converting the rifle to AICS-pattern detachable box magazines without custom inletting. Length of pull adjusts from about 13 to 15 inches. It comes with a 0.25-inch cheek riser, and optional risers adjust comb height. The included magazine well replaces the factory rotary magazine.

M-LOK slots take accessories such as a bipod, and the stock handles barrel profiles up to Medium Palma. Magpul notes that cartridges not based on the .308 case may not feed well from 10-round PMAG 7.62 AC magazines in this rifle, so use the 5-round PMAG 5 7.62 AC with the brown follower for those. Black suits most hunting rifles and scopes. After installation, tighten the action screws evenly and check that the bolt cycles and the magazine locks in cleanly before heading to the range. Find PMAG AC magazines in our gun parts and accessories.
