Description
The Samlex Class T-200 is an individual replacement fuse for the CFB2-400 fuse block assembly used in high-current inverter power systems. It restores the protective element when a compatible fuse has opened and the rest of the fuse block remains serviceable. Using the specified replacement style helps preserve the intended fault-interruption performance of the original installation. The fuse is intended as a service component rather than as a complete stand-alone fuse holder.
Class T fusing is commonly used where a battery bank can deliver very high fault current and fast interruption is important. That makes the replacement especially relevant in inverter systems, where large battery conductors can carry substantial current under normal operation. A properly selected fuse protects the cable and downstream equipment from severe overcurrent events, but it does not correct undersized wiring or loose terminals. The replacement should only be installed after the reason for the original fuse opening has been identified.
The fuse body is approximately 3 x 1.25 x 1.25 in and weighs about 0.2 lb, so it fits the designated Samlex block without adding a separate enclosure. Before replacement, the battery source should be isolated and the fuse holder inspected for heat damage, contamination, or loose hardware. Terminal surfaces should be clean and the holder should be reassembled to the manufacturer’s requirements so contact resistance remains low. Samlex lists a two-year limited warranty for the replacement fuse.
- Direct service replacement for a compatible Samlex fuse block
- Class T construction is suited to high-fault-current battery systems
- Individual fuse format avoids replacing an undamaged holder
- Designed for inverter-accessory applications
Do not install a replacement fuse until the original overcurrent event has been investigated, especially if there are signs of overheated cable or terminals. Verify cable size, fuse-holder condition, and connected inverter requirements before restoring battery power to the circuit.
