What to Look for in Red Dot Mounts
Absolute co-witness mounts put the dot right on top of the iron sights, while lower 1/3 mounts sit higher for a clearer view through the optic. Offset mounts place a second optic at 45 degrees for close work alongside a magnified scope. Match the mount to your optic footprint, such as Aimpoint Micro, RMR, or Holosun.
