Description
The Magpul MOE AKM Hand Guard in Flat Dark Earth replaces factory AK-47, AKM, and AK-74 handguards, including the wood and plastic versions on stamped-receiver rifles. It is reinforced, heat-resistant polymer with an integral black oxide stainless steel heat shield. A front lip and side extensions keep your hand off the hot barrel.
M-LOK slots sit at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions for lights, grips, or short Picatinny sections. It is about 7.3 inches long, 1.8 inches wide, and 1.9 inches tall without the top cover. With the included polymer top cover, it weighs about 7.4 ounces.
It uses the factory front retaining cap, with or without a sling loop, and keeps the factory sling loop usable. The factory cleaning rod still fits, and the top cover works with the UltiMAK optic mount. Some rifles may need minor fitting because AK tolerances vary.
