Description

The Kershaw Emerson CQC-8K is a collaboration with Ernest Emerson, a respected name in tactical knife design, holds a 3.5-inch black-finished 8Cr14MoV tanto blade with the signature Emerson Wave feature integrated into the spine.

That Wave feature, a small hook on the back of the blade, catches on a pocket edge during the draw, deploying the knife automatically as it comes out of the pocket without needing to touch the thumb stud at all. It's a functional advantage for anyone who wants the fastest possible deployment from a manual-opening knife. The tanto blade shape adds piercing strength, a reinforced tip built to push through tougher material than a standard drop point handles as cleanly. A black G10 handle keeps the grip secure even wet or gloved, and a liner lock holds the blade securely open through use. Emerson's designs have earned a dedicated following in the tactical knife world, and this Kershaw collaboration brings that reputation to a more accessible price point than a custom Emerson piece would carry.

Kershaw backs the CQC-8K with the same limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship that covers the full lineup, confidence in a design shaped around one of the tactical knife world's most respected names. Explore more Tactical Linerlocks.

  • Emerson Wave feature deploys the blade automatically during the draw
  • Tanto blade shape adds piercing strength
  • Designed in collaboration with Ernest Emerson
  • Textured G10 handle stays secure even wet or gloved
