TRUGLO was founded by Paul LoRocco, an avid bow hunter and competitive shooter who developed a glowing fiber optic sight pin after his eyesight made solid brass pins hard to see. Brownells dates the company to 1993, and TRUGLO is based in Richardson, Texas. LoRocco later added tritium to the fiber optic formula, creating the patented Tritium/Fiber-Optic (TFO) technology that lights aiming points day and night.
