The Caldwell Lead Sled 3 is a full-length recoil shooting rest that holds the rifle and absorbs a share of the kick with added weight. The rifle sits in front and rear supports, so it stays in the same position from shot to shot. That makes it a solid platform for zeroing a new scope or testing loads.
Hard-kicking rifles are where a Lead Sled earns its place, because the shooter is not taking every round in the shoulder. Less flinch means cleaner trigger presses and groups that show what the rifle can actually do. Elevation and fit adjustments bring the sights onto the target without rearranging the setup.
Ballast is added by the user, which keeps the rest manageable to carry to and from the range. This model is finished in green. Browse more Shooting Supports for other rests and supports.
